Universitas Parahyangan (UNPAR), one of the prestigious universities in the nation, wanted to extend its learning experience for current students and alumni. It aims to prepare them for new skills. UNPAR+ is intended to anticipate the advancing industry in the near future which new skills will be definitely required, through non-degree courses. This method was chosen due to the fact that education needs to adapt quickly in today's world.

We interviewed many stakeholders to ensure the direction of this online learning platform. In the process, we found out how vast the landscape of ed-tech was; from its variety and the things that the ed-tech offered. Therefore, we needed to thoughtfully choose the approach as well as the term we would use in the future. Keeping those factors in mind, we mapped the future stakeholders who would involve in Unpar+ and how they could fill each space holistically.
Since the audience segmentation would be the current students and alumni, we decided to keep the name Unpar with added plus symbol. By doing this, we also highlighted how Unpar as a university has already established its influence and spread so much knowledge. The plus symbol became a representation of how Unpar would always adapt their way in knowledge-sharing in the future and fast-paced world.
UNPAR+ Brand Sequence of Recognition
Every visual element, from the colors, typography, to graphics, was adapted from Unpar's own visual identity as an institution. We put a little twist to make it bring out the digital and modern feels in order to be more relevant to today's generation.
It was Unpar's first time to implement a new form of digital adaptation in the learning experience. So we tried to give a new breath to Unpar with a younger feel while still maintaining its prestige. For example, the UNPAR+ icon can be read as 'UP' with the intention of 'upskilling' (also represented in its + symbol). The yellow color also marks the goal of UNPAR+ for the brighter generation ahead.
